It looks like there are some pretty good apps that would be very helpful for a new college student. Like the introduction said, kids these days are enamored with technology and are looking at their phones all the time. The app that I found the funniest was the SelfControl app that blocks sites while you are studying. The funny thing is, you have to have the "self control" to turn it on.
Some of these might have been helpful during my time here at COCC (this is my last term), but I have done just fine without them. This is my second time going to school, and being on Trade Act benefits I was very determined to do well this time around. A lot of the apps listed are for studying or research, which would be very useful. I mostly relied on Google for my studies and research. The internet has made school much easier this time around because everything is right at your fingertips. No need to go the library and look for information in books.
On a side note, this article was filled with spelling errors and garbled language. I found it funny that an article about apps that will help with school had so many errors.
That led me to look at the authors bio page, which made me shake my head even more. He contributes to a blog about writing essays and how to achieve academic goals.
You would think that one of the first things this guy would do is proof read his articles prior to posting...
